AN ORDINANCE BY TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE AMENDING THE FY2016 AIRPORT RENEWAL AND EXTENSION FUND (5502) BUDGET BY TRANSFERRING TO AND FROM APPROPRIATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $516,527.00 TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR UPDATING THE AIRPORT PARKING REVENUE CONTROL SYSTEM'S MICROSOFT WINDOWS 2003 OS SERVERS AND LANE EQUIPMENT TO MAINTAIN REQUIRED SECURITY UPDATES OF COMPUTERS OPERATING SYSTEM AT HARTSFIELD-JACKSON ATLANTA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, the City of Atlanta (“City”) owns and operates Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (“Airport”); and 

 

WHEREAS, the City of Atlanta - Department of Aviation's Non Aeronautical Revenue is generated by non-airline cost recoveries, landside rentals, inside concessions, Rental Car Concessions, Ground Transportation Fees, public telephone receipts, WiFi Wireless Fees, and Parking Fees which is Aviation's single largest revenue generator; and

 

WHEREAS, the Airport’s Parking Revenue Control System is now due to replace its lane computers and operating system which will also update the system's security and satisfy matters of compliance which will ensure that the Airport meets Payment Card Industry standards; and

 

WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the FY2016 Airport Renewal and Extension Fund (5502) Budget to provide funding for the replacement and installation of various components of the Airport's Parking Revenue Control System.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATLANTA, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS:

 

Section 1: That the FY2016 Airport Renewal and Extension Fund (5502) Budget be and is hereby amended as follows:
