WHEREAS, the City of Atlanta (“City”) executed Contract FC-5801-C, Architectural and Engineering Design Services at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (“Contract”), effective June 28, 2013, with Aviation Infrastructure Solutions, a Joint Venture, to provide Architectural and Engineering Design Services on a Task Order basis, pursuant to Resolution 13-R-0013; and
WHEREAS, the Contract was for an initial term of three (3) years with one (1) two (2) year renewal option which may be exercised solely at the City’s discretion; and
WHEREAS, the initial term of the Contract will expire on June 27, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Design Services to be provided include, but will not be limited to the following Projects: airfield safety area improvements; airfield pavement replacement; non-AOA pavement replacement; bridge railing; airfield repairs; airfield markings replacement; and other miscellaneous improvements projects; and
WHEREAS, the Aviation General Manager and the Chief Procurement Officer have reviewed Aviation Infrastructure Solutions, a Joint Venture’s performance under the Contract and have recommended that the Contract be renewed for an additional two (2) years.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATLANTA, GEORGIA, that the Mayor is authorized to execute a Renewal Agreement with Aviation Infrastructure Solutions, Joint Venture, for an additional two (2) year period commencing effective June 28, 2016.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the term of such Renewal Agreement will be two (2) years.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Renewal Agreement will not become binding on the City and the City will incur no liability or obligation under it until it has been executed by the Mayor, attested to by the Municipal Clerk, approved by the City Attorney as to form and delivered to Aviation Infrastructure Solutions, a Joint Venture.
