AN ORDINANCE BY COUNCILMEMBER CARLA SMITH AUTHORIZING THE TRANSFER OF FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS AND ZERO CENTS ($5,000.00) FROM THE DISTRICT 1 CARRY FORWARD ACCOUNT TO THE DISTRICT 1 PERSONNEL EXPENSES TO REPLENISH THE DISTRICT 1 PERSONNEL EXPENSE ACCOUNT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 2-152(2), the members of the Atlanta City Council are provided with annual appropriations for salaries and benefits for their staff; and

WHEREAS, pursuant  to  Section  2-39  of  the  City  of  Atlanta  Code  of Ordinances, Councilmembers  are permitted  to replenish  their Councilmember  Expense  Accounts and Personnel Expenses by using funds from the Councilmember Carry Forward Accounts; and

WHEREAS, the District 1 Councilmember desires to replenish the District 1 Personnel Expense Accounts in order to continue conducting official City business and support the District 1 Council office.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT  ORDAINED BY THE  COUNCIL OF  THE  CITY  OF ATLANTA GEORGIA, as follows:

SECTION 1: That the Chief Financial Officer is authorized to amend the FY 2016 General Fund budget as follows:

TRANSFER FROM APPROPRIATIONS

$5,000.00

1001 (General Fund) 030201 (District 1) 5790001 (Contingency Fund-Unrestricted) 1110000 (Governing Body) Councilmember Smith.

TRANSFER TO APPROPRIATIONS

$5,000.00

1001 (General  Fund)  030201  (District  1) 5111002  (Salaries,  Perm  Part-time)  1110000 (Governing Body) Councilmember Smith.

SECTION 2:               That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed for purposes of this ordinance only, and only to the extent of the conflict.
