TO INCORPORATE THE MIDTOWN GARDEN DISTRICT NEIGHBORHOOD MASTER PLAN INTO
THE CDP; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

Item Discussion(Public Hearing held on 9/11/17.) Body WHEREAS, the Midtown Garden District Master Plan was initiated through a joint effort by the Midtown Neighbor's Association and the District 2 Councilmember; and WHEREAS, the year-long planning process occurred throughout 2016 and involved thousands of neighborhood residents and stakeholders who collaborated through dozens of public workshops, focus group meetings, and a two-month online survey; and WHEREAS, the Master Plan document summarizes that process and findings in order to guide future decisions on development and investments; and WHEREAS, this documents meets the minimum planning requirements and has been reviewed by the Office of Planning; and WHEREAS, the Department of City Planning- Office of Zoning and Development recommends the Midtown Garden District Master Plan be incorporated into the City of Atlanta 2016 Comprehensive Development Plan. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATLANTA, GEORGIA, HEREBY ORDAINS, as follows: SECTION 1: The City of Atlanta 2016 Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP) as amended is hereby further amended by incorporating into the CDP Midtown Garden District Neighborhood Master Plan, which planning document is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby waived.
