WHEREAS, pursuant to Ordinance 17-O-1787, Chapter 10 (Alcohol Code) of the Code of Ordinances was amended to allow microbreweries and microdistillery in commercial and mixed-use zoning districts; and

 

WHEREAS, formal amendment of the MRC zoning district regulations to expressly add microbreweries and micro distilleries to the list of permitted uses in the MRC zoning district is in the public health, safety and welfare.

 

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ATLANTA, GEORGIA HEREBY ORDAINS, as follows:

 

Section 1.  City Code Sec. 16-34.005, entitled “Permitted Principal Uses and Structures” is hereby amended to add a new sub-paragraph (33) which shall read as follows:

 

(33) Microbrewery and Microdistillery (as defined by City of Atlanta Code Section 10-1).

 

 

Section 2.  That all ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed.
